15 to 20 knot southerlies freshen to 20 to 30 knots this evening as a trough approaches the Bay, then diminish and veer to 15 to 25 knot west-southwesterlies on Friday in the wake of the front. Winds freshen to 20 to 25 knots on Saturday under a trough. Poor visibility, improving to good Friday morning. Temperatures near 7 today, lower to between 6 and 7 Friday morning, rising to a high of 7 by mid-day. High of 8 on Saturday.

Please be advised that we are experiencing problems with the sensor responsible for measuring temperature and humidity on the Holyrood Smartbuoy. We will replace the sensor as soon as possible and ask for your patience as we retify this problem.

Please be advised that although current conditions are not available at this time for SmartBay buoys SMB-MO-01 and SMB-MO-04, accurate site forecasts continue to be issued and are available for use. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have both buoys repaired and redeployed in the coming weeks.

SmartBay buoy, SMB-MO-01, at the Mouth of Placentia Bay, broke its mooring in recent weeks and has since been removed for repair and maintenance. The SmartBay team will complete the work and redeploy the buoy as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.
