West-southwesterlies of 15 to 25 knots overnight between a trough passing to the north and a ridge building south of the Island. Winds veer and diminish to northwesterlies of 5 to 10 knots by Thursday morning as high pressure builds from the southwest. Westerlies of 10 to 20 knots Thursday afternoon and Friday during the daytime as a high builds south of the Island. Winds become light and variable Friday night as high pressure edges in from the west. Good visibility throught the period. Temperatures remaining close to minus 1 through the period.

GOOD NEWS!!! We are back on the air!!! We have replaced Buoy4 at the Red Island location with a new buoy, it is reporting as per normal.

Due to a power outage and subsequent server crash. Placentia Bay Buoy Data will not be available until early next week. We are working on the problem and the Smartbay team hopes to have the problem resolved as soon as possible.
